What stood out to you most in this message?

In our world we think of wealth primarily in terms of money. In the books of the Bible, wealth is measured primarily by how much land a person owns and how many people are dependent upon them for their livelihood. Why do we give our attention to people with social and material wealth? Why do we overlook desperately poor people?

Read Ephesians 4:28, 1 Timothy 5:3-8, 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13. How does  trusting God to provide for us relate to working to provide for ourselves and the needs of our own families?

Read Matthew 18:21-35. Knowing God has so mercifully forgiven us of our offenses against him, why are we so often resistant to being merciful, compassionate, and forgiving to people who offend us?

How does God give us opportunity to develop mercy, compassion, and forgiveness as a quality of our personal character?
