3. Read Luke 22:42 and Hebrews 12:2. How do we reconcile the joy of walking with God with the agony of taking up our cross?

4. Read Matthew 18:21-35. What is the difference between relating to people in light of God’s love and faithfulness toward them, and relating to people in light of how they treat us?
