Questions to help you dig deeper into the message:
Read Genesis 18:9-15. What spoke to you most in this message?
When the Lord asks Abraham and Sarah, “Is anything impossible for the Lord?“, what does that make you think? Do you ever have the tendency to think that God’s ability is in relation to degrees of difficulty (like He can heal a headache, but healing a cancerous tumor is totally different)?
What do you think caused Sarah to go from laughing in unbelief to being the woman described in Hebrews 11:11? How is this like what happened to Thomas in John 20:19-28?
Read Mark 5:35-42. How can we sometimes be like Jairus? How could he have experienced a bit of a roller-coaster of emotions and ‘faith’ during this time? When have you experienced an up-and-down journey with your faith?
Why did Jesus have to put the laughers outside the home before healing the girl? How does Matthew 13:58 relate?
In 2 Kings 2:23-25 we read an interesting (and sort of ‘grizzly’) story of Elisha. Why was he (and the Lord) so upset by what these ‘kids’ were doing? What were they questioning and mocking really? In what ways can we “call for the bears of BELIEF” when doubts and laughers come our way (remember Ephesians 6:12)?
