Read Ephesians 6:10-11. What is the difference between being strengthened by the Lord and relying on our own strength? How are you tempted to rely on your own strength rather than trusting God? How do you respond to that temptation?
Read Ephesians 6:12. Isam defined evil as, “living as if we are the source and strength of our own lives.” How do you see this evil promoted in your own society? How do you experience this evil in your own church? How do you experience this evil in your own heart?
Read Ephesians 6:13-17. Isam highlighted the fact that Roman armies presented a united and cooperative formation to their enemies. How can members of local churches come together and practice working together as they honor God’s love in relationship to each other and in their daily lives?
