Luke 22:24-34

QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU DIG DEEPER INTO THE MAIN MESSAGE: ‘Take Courage, Believe God!’

Read Luke 22:23-24. In these two verses we see the ‘fickleness’ of the disciples and can’t help but be reminded of ourselves. Pastor Michael talked about being those that “Don’t always believe our press”. What does that mean? How does Galatians 1:10 relate?

Reading Luke 22:31-34, what is the warning Jesus is giving to those who would call themselves His disciples? What keeps the enemy from ‘sifting’ us?

Why do you think Peter and the others ‘lost hope’? How can Christ-followers today ‘lose hope’? What is the hope we’re supposed to be keeping? (Titus 2:13).

Read Acts 27:21-25. In this dark, stormy time of crisis, Paul reacted with urgent forewarnings, maintaining hope, counseling others, and remaining calm, persevering to the end. In comparison, how do you react to crisis? What is the greatest pressure situation you’re facing now?

Read 1 Peter 2:9 and Numbers 6:22-27. What is your part and what is God’s part in the resolution of the dark storm we’re going through presently?
