Read Genesis 12:1-4. Here we see one of the most important figures in the Old Testament leaving everything he ever knew behind to say “yes” to the One true God. Where is “home” for you? When did you first leave there? What for? Who or what did you take with you? And leave behind?
Abram doesn’t hear and obey God’s voice until after his father, Terah (loiterer), dies. How is this like us? Read Matthew 8:18-22. What is Jesus’ point in this passage?
In these famous verses (Genesis 12:1-4) what command and promises does God give Abram? How do they affect us today?
