When have you ever been afraid to obey God’s instruction or guidance in your own life, but chose to obey God anyway?

Read Hebrews 11:1. Reality/Assurance. Proof/Conviction. Hope – to look forward with confidence to that which is good and beneficial. Not seen – to not see, has not yet come in to view. What does confident expectation look like?

Read Hebrews 11:23-29. Why did Moses choose identification with the people of God even though it meant that he would suffer (v.26)? What reward were the people of God looking for in the coming of God’s Anointed One – The Messiah/Christ?

How does the assurance of God’s faithfulness and ultimate victory over sin, death, and oppression encourage us to accept the real possibility suffering, rebuke, poverty, or execution in spite of our fears or immediate circumstances?
