What stuck out to you about each letter of the Acronym RISE?

    1. R. Realize the Need. (Just like in Jehu’s day we live in a very dark culture that is in desperate NEED of the hope that is only found in Jesus! Read Jer. 17:9 and discuss)
    2. I. Inner Room (Read Matthew 6:6 and discuss.)
    1. S. Separate Yourself (Read 2 Kings 9:2 and discuss… why was it necessary for Jehu to separate himself before he received the anointing of God?)
    2. E. Expect God to Move (When you consistently take time to separate yourself to the inner room of prayer God moves. Read Isaiah 64:4 and discuss what this could look like in your life. What are the areas of your life that you need God to move in?

Conor read a quote from a man named E.M Bounds. Do you agree or disagree with this quote? “What the Church needs today is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use — men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men — men of prayer.” – E.M. Bounds

The Challenge this week is to spend 10 minutes a day separated to the inner room of prayer. Do you believe that accepting this challenge would bring change in your life? what kind of Change?
