Personal Life Advocates Available

Life Advocates are well-trained members of our congregation who provide one-on-one personal support to individuals facing life’s challenges including job loss, grief, divorce, loneliness, health challenges, hospitalization, aging, infertility, and other difficult situations. They are equipped to offer a high level of compassionate care to people of faith and to those who are not believers.
At The Alpine Chapel, our Life Advocates have received 20 training sessions utilizing the exceptional Stephen Ministry materials and its resources. Each care receiver is matched with a Life Advocate of the same gender—men with men and women with women. The pair meet weekly for about an hour, where the Life Advocate listens, offers support, and encouragement and can recommend community resources as needed. Meetings will be consistent and are highly confidential.
To receive care, recommend someone for care, or to learn about receiving training to become a Life Advocate, please contact our Co-Leaders Jean Vatter and Sue Hewitt by emailing them at care@thealpinechapel.com. We strive to return your inquiry within 24 hours.

Life Advocates are highly trained and have been trained using the highly effective Stephen Ministry syllabus. To learn more, click on the link Stephen Ministry Training.
