Care Ministry
At The Alpine Chapel, our Care Ministry utilizes the Stephen Ministry system and its exceptional resources.
Stephen Ministers are well-trained members of our congregation who provide one-on-one support to individuals facing life’s challenges, including grief, divorce, loneliness, job loss, hospitalization, and other difficult situations. They are equipped to offer a high level of compassionate care to people of faith and to those who are not believers.
Each care receiver is matched with a Stephen Minister of the same gender—men with men and women with women. The pair meets weekly, where the Stephen Minister listens, offers support, and provides encouragement on a consistent and confidential basis.
To receive care or learn about receiving training to become a Stephen Minister, please contact our Stephen Ministry – Co-Leaders Jean Vatter and Sue Hewitt by emailing them at care@thealpinechapel.com.
