About Brooke

Brooke has spent her adult life in non-profit ministry, including serving on the staff of Young
Life, churches in Virginia and Texas, the HEButt Foundation, and was the founder of The
Refuge, a long-term residential treatment center for teenage girls who are survivors of
trafficking and exploitation. She now serves on several non-profit boards around the country,
all focused on women and youth overcoming hard challenges. She has an undergraduate
degree from Baylor University and a Masters degree in World Mission and Inter-Cultural
Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Brooke and her husband, Calvin, discovered Telluride in the Summer of 2013 and quickly
decided to make it their “happy place,” where they enjoyed vacationing with their four children
over the years. In 2021, they decided to make the move to Telluride more permanent. They
love The Alpine Chapel, the larger Telluride community, and the beauty and active life-style the
region offers. In 2022, they founded Mountain View Foundation, a Christ-centered private
operating foundation, that is developing Mountain View Ranch, a place that provides resources
and programs that inspire people in need of rest, reflection, and renewal.

Brooke’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband and their four children, who live in
various places around the country.
